![]() I've taken piccies of the construction, when I get time I'll post them up. Hope that helps a bit, I'll tote up when finished. ![]() I also have to be able to pack the whole thing into gaps no wider than 18 " so I've made it modular which took a LOT of time, hope it still works! It's a beauty so far! All weather proofed with 2 coats of Wickes High performance wood preserver! Built last (I hope).Ī chippie could probably have built it better and cheaper but I wanted to do it myself. i've had to do it totally on my own, son's in love.off with bird all the time! Also may box in the ends to keep the noise down more, neighbour works nights on shift, we get on well, they reckon it's mad/great! About another £150-200 to finish completley. Still need to double skin ( 2 x 9mm ply) the entire ramp, each sheet about £12, i need 9 in total, plus sound proofing floor tiles and a safety rail around the platforms. So far about £180 made up of 50 2x4's (CLS 2.4M lengths actually), approx 400 screws and 2 off 4x8 19mm Spruce ply sheet's. Also went for a 6.5ft transition in the end, after spending loads of time faffing about on the floor with a giant compass in the garden. Sorry about the delay Gazza, i've been a-building in the Garden for the last 4 day's I'm knackered.īearing in mind due to space limitation's I'm now down to 2.5ft high by 6ft wide! I've had to alter the height and width whilst I was making the first tranny, it was WAY to big for the space available. Gazza wrote:Can anyone give me a ballpark figure for amount of timber to buy for 3foot mini, 8 foot wide- sheets of ply and timbers? Santa wants to know!
